Gay Wedding Locations In Nova Scotia
Nova Scotia started its path to equality in Juno of 2001, when they started a registered domestic partners law. Although this was not close to what gay Canadians wanted, it was a definite step in the right direction.
After 3 years of this domestic partnership, also known as (RDP) same-sex couples sued to have the right to be fully recognized as a married couple. The Nova Scotia Supreme Court agreed with the gay couples and struck down the law forbidding same-sex couples from being married.
