Gay Wedding Locations In The State Of South Dakota

Although South Dakota has a law stating that a marriage is defined by being between a man and woman, none the less, there is going to be a vote on a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage in the fall of 2006. South Dakota is known as a very conservative state, being the first state in the union to have a Defense Of Marriage Act law.

But, the conservative state may give their senators and conservative hate monglers a suprise. A recent poll showed that 49 percent of South Dakota citizens oppose the amendment, with only 41 percent supporting it. Leaving 10 percent of voters undecided.

Education and understanding, on how these laws can only hurt, not only gays, but their children, have started to show in the Dakotas. Thankfully, and hopefully, humanity will win out in the november elections.

Although it is not legal for same sex couples to marry in South Dakota, there are still some locations for some beautiful commitment ceremonies. Below are some of these locations.
