Gay Wedding Locations In The State Of Texas

On November 8th, 2005 Texas became another conservative state to add a state constitutional amendment, banning same-sex marriage. With Texas being a conservative melting pot, it is no wonder that this state added a gay marriage ban The amendment just does not ban gays from marrying in Texas, but also bans the state from recognizing civil unions. Texas already had a law banning same sex marriage, but supports of the amendment said that they wanted the amendment as well, in case a judge overturned the current state law.
